Newport, Oregon, had over 2600 protesters in a town of 10,000 people. The entire population of Lincoln County in which Newport sits, is 40,000 people. Over 4,000 people in Lincoln County Oregon appeared at the protests today. That's a 10% participation rate for Lincoln County and 25% for Newport.
