You'd think that getting the sceneID of the "topmost" scene in iPad floating window mode would be easy. However, all visible scenes have the same state: active+foreground. I was able to figure it out by combining #swiftui focusedSceneState and #uikit to get sceneID. Might make a library for this.

New Advanced Learner feature: Extract #flashcards from text or urls. It uses #AppleIntelligence to extract cards from content, so your cards stays local and private. We are still improving it, but it's already a great way to get started with a deck!

one interesting side effect of #AppIntent `supportedModes`, when set to `foreground`: it also opens a window of the default scene in a multi-window environment. Fixed by using foreground(dynamic), which allowed me to foreground the app with openURL using the appropriate scene for the url. #iosdev

I think I got a little carried away making #BenkyoBox hyper scriptable in #Shortcuts - now you can change any setting (including theme colors!). I also changed every setter (score, delete, swap questions and etc) to work with lists, so you can mass-update cards easily. #iosdev

In Apple #Shortcuts, it's a bit of a pain to create arrays. I'd be nice if any Intent that returns A, if placed directly below another one that also returns A, makes it return [A]. I made a variant that does this explicitly (append input to output), but I'd be better if it was system-wide.

#Shortcuts needs API design guidelines (if an intent just returns an entity should it be called “$EntityName” or “Get $EntityName”? are parameter placeholders always lowercase? is an intent that just gets any property from an entity “Get Details from $Entities” (like Reminders does?)... etc)

Exposed enough intents in #BenkyoBox that now you should be able to study all flashcards in a list/folder from outside the app. A lot left to do still, but also a lot of fun in making the app scriptable 😄 #shortcuts

According to my testing, Views returned by AppIntents don't render any UIKit parts rendered via UIViewControllerRepresentable (with no console output indicating a clear error - they just render a yellow background). That will complicate implementing Shortcuts / Siri views a bit #SwiftUI

If you ever struggle with dynamic #SwiftUI menu bar commands not updating with state from the active window of their `WindowGroup`, and getting state from the the initially created window of the group instead, tip: `focusedValue` != `focusedSceneValue` 🤦🏻

A system setting "prioritize dock visibility" when iPad windowing is turned on would make me enjoy windowing on iPad a little more. Dock auto-hide feels a little to aggressive, specially with iPhone apps running on an iPad mini, which are like 2 pixels too tall to fit with the dock.

Some subtle #LiquidGlass effect to the Gauge and Gauge pointer, here in multiple themes. Fun fact, rotationEffect doesn't work very well with .glassEffect, presumably because it doesn't change the view's geometry. Had to animate the path inside the Shape for it to work with glassEffect. #SwiftUI
