I'm rereading A PRIMER FOR POETS AND READERS OF POETRY and it's amazing how much of this feels new again to me, even as it isn't new (beginners mind plus our human frailty of forgetting). Maybe the pleasure of poetry is that you can learn and even excel at it without full mastery. #poetry

As the inspiration for my WIP, I’m wondering what I should do to mark Coco’s birthday, which is today.

Today in revising: "There is an awful quiet in waiting, and we were all waiting to return to the lives we’d abandoned..." I know I'm writing historical fiction, but it feels weirdly appropriate for this moment. #WIP #amrevising

My WIP is about Coco Chanel, but I'm certainly not a fashion icon (I'd describe my style as "quirky"). Pulling on a crisp white and blue striped Breton, I realized her influence--shirts she spied on the coast of Deauville worn by fishermen and turned into staples. #writinglife #WIP
