When we built our accessible home because our son at age three would use a wheelchair longterm for mobility, we also knew the design, including an elevator, ramps, and accessible tub, would benefit us someday.

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) guarantees students with disabilities the right to a public education with access to specialized instruction and accommodations. Without the oversight of the Dept of Education, disabled students are at risk of losing their right to an education.

My son Rob survives & thrives at home because he has Medicaid: access to great medical care, to DME, to home aides & nurses—and home care is less expensive than institutional care. Rob is an advocate & artist, making a difference in his community. #SaveMedicaid #HCBS @littlelobbyists.bsky.social
