The 7 Virtues - Clementine Dream (2025) I really wanted to like this. I didn’t get the fresh clementine zest, or the citrus-creamsicle dry down. I just got screechy cleaning product. To be fair, I think my skin doesn’t love citrus notes in general. This one won’t be a match for me. #perfumesky

I’m on a trip to California, so I popped into a Sephora and tried these Lore scents. Nothing groundbreaking, but comfortably approachable. My favorite is “Lovely and a little twisted”, with Rose Milk, Pistachio, and Patchouli. Sincere and simple. #perfumesky #Fragrancesky

I’m fascinated by this development. Squishmallows releasing 3 affordable ($58) perfumes inspired by their characters - a fruity floral, a “moody” floral, and a vanilla gourmand. Infused with DSM-Firmenich’s “EmotiWaves” technology, which is engineered to evoke feelings of happiness through scent.

I could not agree with this more. It took me a while to accept that I don’t love certain notes or fragrances. I really started loving fragrance once I relaxed about it and just focused on the enjoyment of the craft.

Giorgio Armani - Haute Couture en Jeu (2024) Everything about this perfume confused me. The sticky-sweet bubblegum-pink bottle and juice belie a green floral perfume with bite. There is a lovely beautiful rose and geranium melange, topped with fresh basil…but not worth the hefty price tag. #perfume

New Notes - New Leather (2021) Polished and rebellious, saffron and pink pepper give a clean cut of heat before iris and supple suede smooth the edges. The drydown is urbane and magnetic, as it settles into woody perfume on a broken in and well aged leather jacket. #fragrancesky #perfunesky

Fugazzi - Nocologne (2023) True to the Fugazzi DNA, this perfume is fun, vibrant, and rich. The opening is sticky-sweet citrus blast, that becomes jammy with hints of vetiver. This is cute, but I did find the opening a bit too artificial and somewhat cloying. #fragrancesky #perfumesky

Penhaligon’s - The Cut (2025) Spicy, sweet, clean, and soft. Praiseworthy for telling a coherent story, the perfume stayed true to a theme - clean-cut, tailored, and sharp. I like some stank in my perfumes, but I appreciated what #Penhaligon’s did with this scent. I would wear it, but would not buy.

Pierre Guillaume - Habanera (2016) A very sweet and powdery perfume with a powerful candied rose accord, that overpowers the other notes - including Cuban tobacco and leather, that really could have made this a more well-rounded fragrance. This is not bad, by any means, but missed its potential.

Pierre Guillaume - Les Racines du Mâle (2021) This perfume roots itself in earthy vetiver and moss, laced with peppery spice and smoky resins. A dark, mineral green scent that is elegant, evoking the earth breathing after the rain. #fragrancesky #perfumesky
