With the San Antonio Marathon 5K run 9 days away, I got in another preparatory workout. 3 miles in just under 40 minutes (13 minute, 17 second pace) – solid and respectable. It felt good! I’m going to try to tighten that pace to 13 minutes even, which is very doable. 💪🏻

Over the past 6 months during my journey with #osteoporosis, I've gained 13 lbs of body weight and nearly 2" of waist circumference. Predominantly muscle mass. I feel great! 💪🏻

If neither Mark Kelly, nor Andy Beshear, leads the ticket in 2028, then I will write in one of these honorable men on my ballot. I'm serious. Please, Democratic constituents and the DNC, do not *bleep* this up — again.

Mark Kelly, the honorable US Senator from AZ, is a good man. In my book, he is only 1 of 2 acceptable candidates for the 2028 Democratic party nomination for POTUS, alongside Andy Beshear, the governor of KY.

Well, the 2nd half of the day was not as robust. 30,000 steps was ambitious. I had to call it a day due to my aching feet; otherwise, my stamina could have easily carried me there. Nonetheless, a solid day of #physicalfitness #exercise #healthyliving. 💪🏼🫀⚕️

Refueling with a delightful din din at High St. Wine Co. in SAT. A delicious smoked salmon flat bread with arugula greens, topped with extra virgin olive (I sneaked in my own bottle of olive oil). 🙂

All right! Solid 1st half of the day for #physicalfitness #exercise. I’ve been ramping up both the intensity & duration to put my mind & body in prime shape for next month’s 5K run. For today, my goal is to reach 30,000 steps. 💪🏼🫀⚕️

⚕️🧵 Hi friends, my lengthy diagnostic evaluation into the cause of my #osteoporosis has reached its conclusion. This week, I met with my Endocrinologist, who confirmed the clinical diagnosis of #hypophosphatasia (HPP) — a rare disorder that causes poor mineralization of the skeleton. (1/10)

After arriving early for my Doctor’s appointment (55 min in advance), I relaxed in the foyer. Did some breathing exercises. Positive thinking. Did not cross my legs. About 30 min later, the MA checks me in. A couple more relaxed deep breaths while seated. BP (manual cuff): 110/64 mm Hg. 🙂

Tonight, I’m out on the town at Southerleigh at the Pearl in SAT. Marinated heirloom tomato 🍅 and lump crab 🦀 . Delish! 😋

A delightful & productive Sunday: healthy nutrition (milk, nuts, cheese, salad, veggies, salmon, sparkling mineral water), household chores, reading, Coco time & physical fitness. Squeezed in another one mile brisk walk & resistance training before bed. Already looking forward to morning coffee. ☕️

Tonight, out on the town again, enjoying din din at Southerleigh at the Pearl in SAT. A modified #MediterraneanDiet dish: ‘Peach Salad’ with mixed greens, shallots, fennel, grilled chicken (hold the salt, s’il vous plâit), sherry & peach vinaigrette, topped with extra virgin olive oil. Delish!

I finally got around to doing a head-to-head comparison of BP measurements taken with arm and wrist cuffs. I've long understood that wrist cuffs are not as accurate (overestimation of the true BP). Here, the wrist cuff overestimates by 10/5 mm Hg.
