Exactly the opposite of how Philippe Clement would have liked to start his tenure. #NCFC barely look any different and they’re absolutely shot of confidence. But Clement needs time, and at the very least he knows how bad some of his players can be now.

The intent from #NCFC looked a lot better to me, and they’re controlling the game pretty high up the pitch. But there’s no clear pattern to create chances. Combine that with a poorly-defended goal and that’s why they’re behind.

A big game for #NCFC for a variety of reasons. Some surprising omissions from that line-up, but looks like one that Liam Manning is trying to control the game with. Let’s see if he succeeds.

It certainly wasn’t pretty, but #NCFC grew into that half. They didn’t give away too many real chances, and although offensively they haven’t done loads, they’ve done enough to have the lead. Much better response to the opener than at Coventry.

It was backs to the wall stuff, but #NCFC will be delighted to be 1-0 up. They’ve had to ride their luck defensively, but at the other end Diallo, Kvistgaarden and Sargent allow them to counter with real pace. Big goal for MK.

Really good half from #NCFC. Limited Blackburn defensively, controlled possession and created enough chances for Josh Sargent to score four on a good day. Now the challenge is to keep it up, but against 10 men they’ll back themselves (forget about last year).

#NCFC have completed the signing of Pelle Mattsson from Silkeborg for an initial £2.7m, rising to £3m. Someone they’ve tracked for a long while and moved quickly back to with Marcelino Núñez joining Ipswich. Mattsson signs a three-year deal with a club option.

There it is. Confirmation of perhaps the most controversial #NCFC transfer story in recent memory. Hard to argue with the £10m fee, but there will still be many City fans who will feel that Ben Knapper shouldn’t have picked up the phone. Will be an interesting reunion.
