No. 4 of my redesigns is done! This is Axel, a member of a small-scale rock band. His original design (posted below) had a kinda rock aesthetic but I feel like leaning more into the outfit styling was worth exploring. I went more with a grunge aesthetic with the plaid shirt/long t-shirt vibe.

New redesign! This time it was my game's detective, Addeline Winters. I moved away from the previous Sherlock-Holmes inspired attire and went for something more Australian themed to suit the location of the game.

Converted these two into 32-coloured sprites. It's kinda crazy how different these designs ended up from their originals. I do like both my current iterations and my original ones. I think both could work in different circumstances, I'd say.

Day 2 of my redesigns. Did some quick concepting for Stella. Her original design is still something I like quite a lot and had a hard time thinking how to modernise it. I think the biggest change comes in the houndstooth being used as a substitute for the star motif she has.

I had an idea to revisit the cast of characters I designed for an old Ace Attorney fan project, and see how I'd go about designing them if I were to have started the project today. First up was my protagonist, Colton. I made his design a little more relaxed and preppy, as I felt it suited him best.
