An interesting contradiction in Software development is that to write high quality code, one has to care deeply about the project and its long term success. At the same time, you need to be detached enough to accept that someone else's approach/update to your own code can surpass yours.

I'm excited and scared. How in the world are we going to be upgrade WordPress with the removals. It's going to be a transition. WordPress developers, please address the console warnings in your plugins. With WP 6.7, you should see console warnings of the APIs removed in React 19.

I often hear that we disregard Extensibility and developpers in Gutenberg #WordPress. 🔌 On top of my head, here are just some of the tools and extensibility APIs that were recently introduced (2024 and far from complete) ↓

Controversial take: If you're using React (with or without RSC) to build marketing/news/document websites (you name it), you're using the wrong tool, there are better tools out there for this. React shines for SPAs and the focus should be on local-first movement and tools rather than RSC.

Please consider updating your blocks. Iframed editor might become default for everyone soon

In #WordPress Rome Core Days, we discussed the struggles of repository management (both trac and Github). We discussed how issue closing shouldn't be seen as dismissive but more as an encouragement for conversation and assess whether the issue is relevant.

With DataView, DataForm and block bindings, #WordPress is making a big leap to address the long awaited requests for better structured data management. Exciting things ahead.
