Been participating in this week's "Weekly Trials" in #ArcRaiders. Currently I'm on position 3 of my group, which I will probably not beat with three days left, but I'm quite proud of this achievement. It's been real tense doing some of these as you have competition AND people hunting you down.

My Sennheiser HD 98 headphones have served me really well, but they've been falling apart. Just got myself a tiny upgrade with the Sennheiser HD 99 headphones through a Black Friday deal. Not only good for music but really great for gaming too. I'm always the first to find those Arc Raider cache's.

Arc Raiders has climbed to the 14th place in my most hours played on Steam in just over 2 weeks time since release. 8 hours from beating DayZ. It has some way to go to beat my PUBG hours, but I feel it'll get there. Not sure if it'll ever beat Escape from Tarkov, but if Embark does well, it might.

Watching Hasan on the Chinese version of YouTube, Bilibili with translator on is a very interesting experience. Hasan is getting some great traction there and has been embraced as "Lemon Bro", since the Chinese audience likes to nickname live streamers.

I do want to congratulate @battlestategames.bsky.social on the v1.0 release of ESCAPE from TARKOV today. It's been 10 years of growing the game and community. Creating THE blueprint for the "Extraction Shooter" genre. It's one of the most authentic and engaging military FPS experiences you can play.

So AI voice lines in Arc Raiders. Yes, it stings. I will always prefer NO AI ever, it sound like shit. And even if VA's get a contract where they get paid for *every* piece of dialog using their voice model, they won't need to hire *professional* VA's, just train models, taking away from VA careers.

Total bullshit. This is Nexon trying to normalize the use of AI tools. Arc Raiders is a unique case where we have a popular main stream game using it to a degree where you can notice it as it has robotic soulless NPC's. It's one of the only black marks everyone has against Arc and rightfully so.

Today I finished all current main quests and completed the unlock Deck in #ArcRaiders at 85 hours. But there's still a Queen to kill, skills to unlock and stations to upgrade. Playing a hired gun, helping my friends. Incredible PVPVE game that has a bright future if it keeps up quality and content.

The "IT: Welcome To Derry" show is pretty great so far. It's a prequel that feels like it could've been written by Stephen King himself. King did help out the creators, gave them his notes and approved all plot points, making this a canon story. And there's links to other King stories as well.

I remember when people didn't want to be or face pirates in a pirates-themed game called "Sea of Thieves". This exact same thing is now happening to Arc Raiders.

More shots from #Arcraiders. Players have definitely settled in and upgraded their gear over the weekend as fights are becoming more deadly and their weapons's impact become heavier. And we're picking fights with the larger Arc threats too.

#ArcRaiders keeps stunning me with it's presentation. There's a great variety in landscapes, weather, atmosphere and the environmental storytelling is top tier. Also, F10 removes the HUD. It's not a Photo mode (yet), but you can still make pretty screenshots with it.

#ArcRaiders, my contender for game of the year is finally here. Only a few hours in but it has it's metal claws in me already. It's been a really stable launch for a online game that has been skyrocketing in popularity. I'm enjoying it a lot so far and I already met a lot of diplomatic raiders.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is such a pillar of hope for New York and a personification of the "good" America needs to work back this doom clock that has been ticking for too long, that I feel anxious about something bad happening. I hope this is the start of a big turnaround, the world needs it.

That Battlefield Redsec sure looks like another free to play Battle Royale. Aside from having Battlefield specific gear and a possibility of tank battles it's very "Warzone", clearly downgraded with no destruction and lower fidelity for optimization. Would've been nice to blow up camper buildings.

I know I'll be deep into Arc Raiders soon... but I saw this charming parody of another popular extraction shooter that also seems to be a great extraction shooter on it's own. And this one is PVE only, so a bit more chill to play listing to a podcast or live stream. Their 12% discount ends the 30th.

ok, so Halo Studios decided on doing a Halo 1 remake... pff.. I feel I truly lost all connection to the Xbox family. I used to be a big Halo fan, bought every game. But Xbox just faded into the background over the last 10 years. It's just gone for me.

In anticipation of Embark's Arc Raiders I'm giving this game a try a gain. It started off a bit rough but apparently it's in a really good place now and one of the better free to play multi-player games to get.
