Willem II, season IV. Added a bunch of squad depth, kept the starting 11, but performance actually worsened. CL QF against Juve is looking like a tough away game. League is also proving to be an issue.

Willem II, season III. We're fighting PSV for the top spot again and we'd run away with the league but just don't have squad depth to deal with injuries. Tactics still the same, tried a GK version with one less AMC and it just wasn't the same. I

Season II with Willem II. We looked like running away with the league until the very end, and messed up to end up 2nd. Played most of the season with Abidal at rush GK - probably the best rush GK I ever had, definitely conceeded less than Sorensen in the few games he played at goal.

in terms of other players, Kanu was a beast. Probably would have helped R9 a little bit if Kanu scored less from the AMC spot. unretired Bryan Robson was also remarkable.

Summary of R9 experiment: 96 goals and 63 assists in 65 games. If we had European games or made it further than 4th round in FA cup, surely would have broken that 100 goal barrier. Used save game editor often to remove any injuries, low morale and suspensions and this is as far as I could get him.

4 games to go, can R9 get to 100? He's been on a roll past few games so likely he has 1 or 2 slow games.

After my recent sufferings, I deserved a silly feel good save. Ronaldo has a nervous breakdown, takes shelter in English Div3 football with Brighton, convinces a lot of his Inter mates to join him, in an effort to break single season goal scoring records. He is joined by two superb veterans.

Over on the Elon app I was running a year's long #CM9798 save managing Crystal Palace with only Brit players. Since moving to Blue Sky, I've wanted to recap it here. Season 1 we offloaded most the foreigners whilst managing to stay up, thanks to Kenny Miller having a player of the year performance.

after switch to 4231, we picked up a little steam and avoid relegation but it is looking grim. two youngsters brigthen up our day a little, Belic at AMC (prosinecki regen?) and Kek at DC were decent. Obviously they both want out but are loan listed. Let's see if we can get in talent over summer

new twist in Kettering save - after winning back to back PL and CL titles, the gaffer sought a new challenge. managed england in 2010 world cup but lost to france in the final. the new chapter comes in the form of newly promoted Bosna Visoko, who have two players on payroll. challenge accepted!

Kettering save has lost its luster but decided to do one more year, also 2010 world cup is coming up and took over England job - not easy feat to follow since 2006 wc win.

I don't like FGN limits as makes the game less fun for me. also, making nations into EEC members gives a different flavor the game and you see all sorts of signings, you wouldn't otherwise see. here you can see a bunch of my homeboys journeying around Europe. with FGN limits no way this happens

barnsley s3 - after the defensive tactic last year, we now go on the offensive. Striker Lee Hughes who we signed from WBA and was muted last year as lone forward is now wreaking havoc. Paired him up with Baret (papin regen?) and Cahill at AMC is on a whole new level.

barnsley s2 - taking a page from @nikolai9798.bsky.social 's latest playbook and adding long ball. 11th place finish, only 4 points better than last year. and our strikers can't hit anything, it's an issue of enough chances rather than missing. might have to try something for that.

ok, let's have another go at Barnsley. Euro scout highly recommends some random dudes, which is my new favorite part of the game. I shall be relying on beautifully named Kilton Bozgo to spread fear into opposition defences. What can go wrong?

I can see this save going in a different direction if Lazio manage to get promoted next season back into Serie B.

a rare 3 red cards from the same team

Magic the Kettering continues. We're chasing back to back PL titles. Our tactic has been the same since Div1 I think and it still works like a charm. Batigol regen Gonzalo La (aka. GoLaZo) joined us from relegated Lazio and he's having a career year.

Shearer regen Eckhardt was good but not amazing last season. Started this year slow, and then picked up steam in the last 5 games or so. Overall record not impressive but his auto-price tag went from 13mil to 33mil in a month i reckon. I haven't seen figures this high. Liverpool is interested :)

The Kettering Battering - my most fun save in a long while. Doing things we got no business doing in places we don't belong to. 140mil in the bank because we kept selling players, only 5000 fans to watch us do the unthinkable. time to appreciate the boys who helped us get here.

i know we're just dreaming but dreaming is fun. can we recover those 5 points in 8 games and do the unthinkable? last game of the season happens to be at home against Boro! how amazing would it be to get to that game within a shot of the title!

huge win in league cup semi 2nd leg. helped by the fact that Chelsea won the first leg 3-2, therefore opening the game with Counter Attack, we switch to long-ball to counter as I often do and decimate the league leaders.

We're still in the fight. Our best defender Dunne just got injured for rest of season so a lot depends on us bringing in a quality DC right away.

despite the accounting game i've been playing, this is the one player I didn't watn to have to sell but someone decided to put up his inflated price and trigger his BCRC. this hurts us big time.

PL here we come. I am pretty sure in real life our stadium would not qualify for PL. My fave player this year was Donnelly at DC, who we signed from Cheltenham for a neat 1m. Bankroll up to 94mil now, following more player sales, bringing this season's intake to 57mil.
