save managing Crystal Palace with only Brit players. Since moving to Blue Sky, I've wanted to recap it here. Season 1 we offloaded most the foreigners whilst managing to stay up, thanks to Kenny Miller having a player of the year performance.

The match is passé and there are two on the same show. The cash-in makes faces look cowardly, titles look cheap, and the company looks incompetent. Why would a sport allow a way for its biggest prize to be won in such an unsporting manner?

AEW is a success, and the doomers, grifters, and WWE PR puppets know they can't deny it anymore. You can tell because they are trying to spell a new narrative that it was never possible for them to fail.

WWE's top storyline is that there is an evil executive on the board who abuses his power in an attempt to own his subordinate's souls and satisfy his lust for control over people. I wonder what inspired it.

This scratches the surface of the many examples of WWE's over-production, causing an inauthenticity in their product beyond the work done inside the ropes.

So, have WWE started doing the US national anthem for all their non-Wrestlemania PPVs, or did they start in Canada?

I haven't watched the Cody and Rock promo, but from what I've read here, it was 27 minutes long, and the only point of note is that Rock wants Cody's soul. OK.

It's funny how the narrative to this fued has jumped from 'what on earth has Harley Cameron done to deserve this title match?' to 'of course, Harley Cameron has to win, or else AEW will blow another opportunity to make a new babyface star'.

This is my instinct too. We haven't seen the struggle yet. As long as they invest TV time into her, and she gets better in front of our eyes, it will be more meaningful when she finally overcomes.

Meltzer's Raw on Netflix analysis estimates Nielsen equivalent, US same day viewership at just above a million 😬 There is a lot of educated guesswork, as Netflix are being notably obtuse with the numbers they release but this looks like a story to follow.

I've been picking out bits of Raw, and geez Seth Rollins is a dork. I mean, he always has been, but his current character is the pits. Can someone let him in on the rib? We've all known someone who thinks wacky clothes are a substitute for a personality.

and began watching the UFW-I Bushido series around the time we saw this match live at the Network. Whilst definitely leaning more into a pro wrestling style, this has the thrilling intensity of a struggle captured so absorbingly in peak shoot-style wrestling.

Now that the much beleaguered Collision 12 man tag is over, I still don't understand why they had to do it. The focus was Mox v Cope and getting Hobbs' heat back. That could have been done without involving the Learning Tree.

I finally watched the Sareee-Ism 4 show (don't know how I missed it, I watched the rest lol). It was brilliant. AZM & Takumi Iroha vs. Natsupoi & Sareee was 4.25 stars, so amazing, go back and watch it. But, one match out did it one the show 🤼♀️

WWE fans congratulating themselves over this, whilst continuing to support the company that is platforming and investing in Hogan (amongst other shady things) are pathetic.

If anyone actually got heated about that Chris Charlton thing it’s very funny. Him or AEW or TK or whoever. It’s like a video game executive getting riled up about some console war shit.

Not all inconclusive finishes are born equal, especially when they are sports orientated and used to build to something bigger rather than avoid giving someone a loss. This felt urgent and reckless, and the post-match had the crowd baying for blood.

I thought Gedo knew something we didn't about Umino, or had something up his sleeve, but no. The match got there in the end and just about kept my attention throughout, but I can totally understand people checking out after 25 mins.

My 2024 Cagematch Odyssey saw me rate 1,225 matches from this year, including 92% of all matches rated 8+ after 50+ votes. I gave 7 matches 10/10: Ospreay v PAC/Danielson/Takeshita/Oku Jacobs v Oku (24/8) Swerve v Danielson Kitamiya v Ishii (2/1) My lowest score was a 2 for Kamen v Harajuku.

My take on 🤼🏼♂️Worlds End is that we should just let Mox bury the AEW title in the fucking desert and build the company around the Continental Classic instead. I can't wait another 11 months. I don't want to see Copeland or Christian. Let's start another C2 next week.

Who was the first wrestler who made you fall in love with professional wrestling? 🤼 Jake Roberts was my in. One of my buddies had his action figure, and I thought the snake was so cool. His coldly delivered promos and DDT killshot sealed the deal.
