One of the people running DOGE, Luke Farritor, messaged me several years ago on LinkedIn asking about when I worked at McDonald’s in high school. Not groundbreaking or anything but kind of funny.

I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir but people absolutely need to be up in arms over this. Ohio State gave the lowest paid employees of the school (who made the exact minimum to not be OT eligible!) a raise to the new threshold. The threshold was lowered in court and on Jan 1 they’re just reverting

I think it’s morally fine to hold political staffers accountable for the sins of their bosses. If you don’t want that you can get a job with a non-morally stained party or member or just get a job in the real world.

One thing I’ve never understood is the insistence that elected officials immediately concede when the race is called. Race calls aren’t official events, it’s two companies (and a few news orgs) making a determination. Concede whenever you want, the certification is what matters.
