Help Needed!! I've been tasked with enhancing our statistics GCSE. However my pedagogical knowledge for it is a bit weaker. Has anyone got good sources for reading that will help? #StatisticsTeaching #MathsTeaching

#MathsToday Year 8 looked at Square numbers and used them to problem solve sums.

First lesson with my new SEN Y7 group. I and they loved talking about what numbers look like and how we can see them in groups. Even got to numicon and 1 more and 1 less. 1 kid even told me they learned something new. Love a teacher win!

Phew! First year teaching stats in a year and 100% 7+! Now to get my 2 year students to the same level 💪

And my 4th year completed... stats suggest I should quit this time next year 😁. I've taught stats and RS for the first time, been given new challenges to keep me entertained. Now time to pretend to enjoy the time off as all structure from my life ends.

Am looking for some Statistics comprehension extracts to use with my 2-year stats group. I want to create a focus on literacy to prepare them better ahead of GCSEs. Any pointers?

My win of last week was being told by a parent/child that I am the reason they come to school, enjoy maths and finally they can achieve more than they ever did before. The fact I nearly cried on parents evening because of this. This is why I do the job 💗💗
