I advertise myself as a self centered person as a means of protecting others from somehow coming to the conclusion that I’m not, and expecting me to be someone who consistently cares. And I sometimes do. But my brain doesn’t allow me to always care. And I want to stay sincere.

I wonder who I'd be in 5 years. The closer I get to who I truly am, the more I enjoy being me. As the paint of human and societal expectations peels from me, my shape of self resemble the shape of my soul.
