I had my final methods seminar today and caught some photos with my students. It was really nice to see their smiles after all the hard work they've put in this semester. Now it’s time to wrap things up, and I hope everything goes smoothly for everyone!

I'm back safely in Fayetteville after spending a few days at the APPAM meeting in Seattle. My very first APPAM was in Atlanta back in 2004 when I was just starting my Ph.D. studies at OU, so I've been going to this fantastic conference for over 20 years.

My MPA students had an awesome day at the ICMA conference in Tampa, catching sessions/workshops, networking, and checking out some local spots and other fun stuff.

Had great conversations with fire chiefs & emergency managers alongside Kay Goss (former FEMA Associate Director) about what “resilience beyond FEMA” really means. Frontline professionals are doing heroic work to keep communities safe amid new, complex risks. Truly thankful!

Had a wonderful time with Kay Goss at the Gosack Forum! She shared such thoughtful insights and inspiring stories about leadership and public service. Grateful for all the hard work from our MPA students and the continued support from the Political Science Department.

The conference starts tomorrow, and my MPA students want to take a break after the long trip. I was not prepared for this, but this is what we decided to do.
