@sunandsoil.bsky.social Back to work on my own farm. It's been 6 grueling days of work to prepare the area and pour my new concrete pavers and lay down a yin&yang rock setting in the path way and then lay down mulch because this area is under a tree and I don't want to disturb the roots.

@sunandsoil.bsky.social Ok. It's finally done. 6 boxes I salvaged from an industrial complex that was just gonna toss them. They are now raised garden beds. And about 5 yards if dirt moved and sifted it's done. 22 raised beds in all.

@sunandsoil.bsky.social so we needed a way to filter the dirt. Grass is a garden killer. Now we have a way to remove the grass from the dirt as well remove unwanted stones. I built it to sit at the top of the wheelbarrow or on the ground.

@sunandsoil.bsky.social Omg y'all, I am beat. Went on a raid this weekend for wood crates and pallets and I turned the wood crates into raised planters. For more tomatoes! I also planted onions and marigolds as companion plants to the tomatoes and more strawberries!! Can't I will update later.

@sunandsoil.bsky.social Ok. I need some top soil for it and some tomatoes. And this project is completed. I filled the bottom with scrap wood, coconut core, eucalyptus scrap, and a ton of other compost. A Sandy loam toper, and next top soil.

@sunandsoil.bsky.social new project. The extension of the tomato garden. I got enough tomato's to make a couple of salads from the one garden bed. So now we are going full bore with a new 14' ft x 2' ft garden bed. I will update as I fill it and we clear the other garden beds of dead plants.

@sunandsoil.bsky.social so I didn't have anyone to take a photo of me standing next to the tree. It is now neck and neck with my courtyard wall. I planted it last spring after taking a tour at the edge of nowhere farm. I plan to go again next spring to buy a fig tree from them.
