My masters student Omma Honey won third place at the TWU Celebration of Science poster presentations! Attendees voted on their favorite presenters. I’m proud of Honey’s ability to convey our work and field in an accessible, enthusiastic way such that her audience took the extra step to vote for her!

This week, the TWU School of the Sciences (SotT) gave me the Heart Award because of the positive feedback students had given the person who picked the winner. I am very grateful for this recognition, and thankful to those who came up to me afterward to tell me it was well deserved.

Congrats to the winners of the #Worm25 poster competition! Thanks to all students who entered (285) — such great research! Thanks to all poster judge volunteers who judged presenters (220 postdocs and faculty!) Given >1200 attendees, that’s a high % who participated in this competition!
