Some good news.

Wow, I know I am not the only one who is blown away by the fight scenes in #BloodRiver. Episode 1 alone was impressive! High production value with excellent cgi putting forth fight scenes with fantastic choreography as well as fascinating weapons and functionality. Well, that was a joy to watch!

Btw: #WangXuan plays a small. support character in the #cdrama #BloodRiver, so if you're a fan keep an eye out for him in a small role: 1 site says he's the Water Official, while MDL says he is Shui Guan [Soul Reapers' Hall]. I've seen positive reactions overall to it so far, so hope it's good.😁

Anyway, I hope #WangXuan gets a great director and some long-form offerings, so he can grow more as an actor. (Though I am glad he is getting roles in general, so I can enjoy the smooching in at least some #cdramas I am watching.) He seems like a nice guy his costars seem to be comfortable around.

The more time one gets to prepare & play a character, the more one can become the character. He's playing so many super short-form characters that it must be hard to really craft them. There may also be expectations for how he will play them: sexy alpha, yet lovesick ceo is who they hire him to be.

#WangXuan did well with longer more fleshed out roles like in #TheLoveDuel, #GrabYourLove, & #DoubleLife. I hope he'll get offered more #MiniCdrama roles & a full-length #cdrama to sink his teeth into. The #verticalcdramas don't allow him to spread his wings as an actor, because they are so quick.

If 1 is 1 of these actors, how many moves do you learn from the #verticalcdrama playbook? I wonder. They cover teasing, verbal foreplay, etc. Sometimes is it inappropriate & unacceptable irl, yes, but I am talking about small acceptable gestures: like roses, jewelry, ties, etc. to amp up the vibe.

100% this!!! The characters are allowed to feel!!! Sometimes there is no real closure/moving on from those feelings too, because much like irl they continue with us too. Perspective shifts, but it doesn't mean we forget. #cdrama #kdrama

100% and also real character growth happens. Not like tacked lightly on the top or quickly shown in one scene, but explored in depth throughout with all types of characters: the good, the bad, the sides. Typically, the characters aren't all good or bad; they are rather human. #kdrama #cdrama
