Funnily enough, both of mine started as recreations of two of my other ocs! Dorians based on an oc ive had since like 2008 with the same name, though his FF story is completely seperate outside of a few similar traits Grace ORIGINALLY was based on one of my Skyrim OC's and I just found aura fitting.

Both are actually! Sophie from the GNB quest line is Dorians older sister. (Though admittedly I have had to tweak her a bit) She ends up leaving when they're younger. Grace is Kurenai's older cousin, that the royal family banished as a baby, inevitably getting adopted by Hancock.

Dorian, growing up in Limsa, had learned hand to hand combat before the msq started, so hed easily resort to that if need be. Grace on the other hand, would likely try to be more evasive, trying to scramble for her weapon. Shadowbringers onward, though, she wouldnt be afraid to do some hand to hand

Dorian is def the type of person who takes time to warm up to people, so in social situations he would be around friends that he could use as a buffer. Grace on the other hand is very much a social butterfly, her father being a business man had her grow around people so she lacks most social fears

Dorian smells very much like the open sea saltiness with citrus undertones. Grace smells more like pine.

Oh this one's tough actually! Grace's ancient (Who I've done zero work on) would very likely also fit into the seat of Altima. Dorian's on the other hand I'm not so sure as Azem fits him so well. Second best might be Fandaniel honestly, because the mysteries of the world are fascinating to him.

Its not exactly EARLY, but one of my earliest screenshots that I really takes me back is this one from right before Lakshmi. I know alot of people dont like it, but Stormblood was around where I started to feel invested more into the game, so this doofy screenshot takes me back whenever I see it.

Not a major NPC, but Sophie from the GNB questline is Dorians sister! I've altered her design to match him more over time but I tried to keep the main beats of that plot line. Also, haven't delved much into it so far but Hancock is Grace's adoptive father after some of his men find her stranded.

With Dorian, as with a lot of my other OC's and his namesake especially, I've had a habit of giving them pretty terrible lives but have such a reliance on hope and the people they've lost that keeps pushing them forward. With that in mind, with Grace I've been trying to go more lighthearted!

#wolqotd Dorian originally started as a hyur because I had based him off a longstanding OC of mine. I really only went Viera when it came out because of my own curiosity, and it led me to separating the two versions of the OC. I've kept the Hyur around in a sense by just making his father a hyur.
