Feel like todays episode of Doctor Who was a very reliable, ordinary but solid episode with a tight script and some good ideas in a way that RTD hasn’t really done since coming back. Last series felt like it was swinging between experimental one offs or the big blockbuster double bill at the end.

One final build of the Christmas holiday

Incredible production of Ballet Shoes at the National Theatre. Full of joy and enthusiasm. Also really lovely and warm. There was a great atmosphere in the theatre and it was fantastic to see so many children enjoying the magic.

At The National Theatre for their production of Ballet Shoes. Having been enthralled by the 2007 BBC version aged 8. I had forgotten of course that the original novel stands in the canon of books by clergy children.

The Importance of Being Earnest at The National Theatre was ridiculously good. Hugely entertaining. Sharon D Clarke’s Lady Bracknell is a performance for the ages.

Saw one of my old favourite teachers today when Christmas shopping and had a lovely conversation with them. It became increasingly awkward though as I saw them another five times as we were visiting all the same shops.

My mother on the day of her priesting with her brother and my late grandmother, she was six weeks pregnant with me at the time.

It’s the end of term! Last night saw our final College Eucharist and a delicious Christmas Dinner. This morning started as usual with Mattins and Mass - but now students and staff are heading off for a well-deserved break.

And here we are, spreading some cheer and raising some money for orphanage project at Tariro in Zimbabwe. Thank you to all who have supported us!

Killers Of The Flower Moon was properly good

If you like the songs of Taylor Swift (which I do) then the Eras Concert Tour is a great time at the cinema, obviously not the same as the concert, but much cheaper, she plays all the bangers and you don't have to worry about getting home at the end.

We were truly blessed to have the Archbishop of York visit college this evening. He preached one of the best sermons I’ve ever heard and provided great encouragement challenge and inspiration in his after dinner conversation. A reminder of the great joy this vocation is.

Isolating is still very well isolating, grateful to some of the Frs of the Community who came and brought us the blessed sacrament today and for those in the College who helped arrange it. We are also continuing to be well fed and provided for, things could be much worse.
