Tonight, I had a session with a filmmaker I have a lot of respect for tweaking a script of mine I love and am dying to make that others also seemed keen on. We had a lot of amazing ideas I think are gonna make it so much stronger, and man, I'm just psyched!

Am I crazy or was Brooklyn 45 not a @shudder.com release? Justwatch says it should be on the UK/Ireland version of the platform, but it’s not on the app, or when I use the web browser on the phone. Available episodes of shows have been missing on there for me before for no reason so who knows?

My fav film of that year, absolutely worth a watch/rewatch without hesitation!

This may be a lost cause since I live in Ireland, but I have a good few DVDs from over the years I have doubled up on/upgraded so wanna rehome, but have no clue how. EBay is a bust for Ireland, CEX is a rip off, and I dunno who is interested in physical media around these parts anymore.

I watched Mister Creep and really enjoyed its vibes a lot. Then I logged it on Letterboxd and discovered it was a rewatch for me. How do things with THAT much character not resonate hard enough with me that I can realise I’ve already seen it??

I showed a friend Midsommar one movie night. I am no longer allowed choose the films for movie night.

I LOVE horror, which is pretty apparent, but I’ve also made a few non horror features, and lemme tell ya, they don’t get the same look in AT ALL. Without big names, they become disposable to a general audience & sit on VOD. The squeamish are thought of, they are just less actively passionate.

If you’re in Ireland, this will be the only chance to see Distort 2: The Dead Among The Trees on the big screen! Heck, aside from the @unnamedfootage.bsky.social premiere, this is probably the ONLY big screen outing the film will have! VERY limited space, but I’d love to share the experience!

Seeing some takes in filmmaker groups about how Backrooms and Obsession aren’t well done and were only made because the makers were young YouTubers. I mean, yeah they had a built in audience which always is a sell, but both films rock. Take away the baggage and they’re still 2 solid horrors.

A truly horrible moment in my life was in uni when I moved away from home with my guitar and had excited aspirations to play and write tonnes of music, only to have my fretting fingers swell up painfully and be incapable of playing the guitar anymore (at that time). Illness can really blindside you.

I saw Backrooms the other night, and the couple beside me had GLOWSTICKS lit on their tables the whole time?!

No one else finds this funny but me. It may be the funniest thing I’ll ever make.

I’m intrigued by this because I see the cause in action; films are delivered in 5.1, and that 5.1 is downmixed to stereo, but because of how 5.1 works with the amount of channels, the balance of dialogue vs effects is way off. Basically it assumes you have a 5.1 setup, and you’re out of luck if not.

Wow, asked to be on a film jury, and all I need to do is pay to clear their review cycle? Sure I’d be a sucker NOT to, right?! I’m never getting a non-scam film related email again, am I?

A friend who hadn't seen it asked me to show them the first Distort this evening and that was a trip! Even knowing me outside of the film, she was yelling at the screen and jumping at so many bits! It hit me I've never seen the film (or the follow up) with anyone else. I gotta change that!!!
