Week 2 is almost in the books at the new job. I'm still trying to physically get back into the swing of things, but a big boon was hearing a coworker down the hall go, "Dallas is so good!" to which my boss' boss replied, "She was highly recommended to us." 😊🩷🤓🤠

A couple of Monterey Jack and Jalapeño taquitos for breakfast is totally fine, right? I deem it so because one bite into that buttery, crispy tortilla was AMAZING.

I started a new job this week (the federal funding cuts to public media eliminated my previous one), and it has actually pulled me out of my two-month reading slump, which I'm pretty sure was caused by grief. 60% of the way through Neon Gods by Katee Roberts. It's trashy, but sometimes, that hits!

Just saw a glimpse of the beaver full moon setting this morning, and it's HUGE! If I didn't have to scuttle to work so quickly, I would have stopped for a photo. It genuinely made me do a double take!

Always. Befriend. The. Bartender. Birthday weekend keeps getting better. One of the C-suite bosses left me tickets for a tennis tournament happening across from our work. Not only did I get a VIP entry, they escorted me to a comfy tent with whirring fans, comfy seating, and an open bar.
