The constant easterlies has resulted in a record spring for continental Robins at Nanjizal. Odd hearing the distinctly different contact call in West Cornwall. It was like being on the east coast in October.

Maybe interesting to anyone who likes migrants? Whether they set off at sunrise or keep flying past sunrise Y b Warblers constantly appear mid morning. It doesn't matter if it is mild and overcast or chilly and clear.

Numbers of Whitethroat usually peak around now. This is the worst autumn passage I can recall. They bred well on site. Looks like it was an exception. So far, a high adult to young ratio for all the Warblers.
