Some more lovelies from the last kiln! These were an exercise in throwing thin -- the goal was 5" x 3", 12 oz of clay. It was a fun exercise and helped me really get a feel for how thin the clay can get under my hands before I lose it. Also, my studio has nothing pretty *and* useful for scale in it.

I have been looking for new glazes to use with black clay. I want glazes that are strongly colored to stand up to my B3 clay body, but will also break well over my carving lines. This candlestick test is giving me good vibes, so I'll carve a piece to test it on next. #pottery #lgbtqartist
