I came up with a workflow for getting lots of #b3d #geonode objects such as trees into #unity with each one being a prefab. I used a proxy object in blender and baked object position into the UVs. A unity script gets the unique UV positions to place a prefab there on start. #gamedev #indiedev

oldschool foliage vertex painting in #blender. This was such a pain to do, everything had to be done in the correct order then use script to finish it off, tweaking iteration was very slow. If I were doing it again now it would be so much simpler in geometry nodes. #techart #gamedev #indiedev

Throwback to my first #Blender plugin, an anim scrubber like Maya. I developed it into some crazy system for activating motion lines, moving and mirroring keyframes while in the the scrubbing mode, although I've never convinced anyone else to give it a try 😅 #techart #animation #indiedev

Just testing some video compression settings with the demon from below;

Right now the working limits is 60 seconds, <50MB, and the streamed resolution from the CDN to start will be two options, 360p@500kbps and 720p@1500kbps. Videos will get framerates downsampled to 30fps. "Original" versions which get stored on the PDS will be 3mbps, 1080p, 30fps.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a post scheduler? Every one I've looked at has been expensive or been unable to post videos. #indidev #gamedev
