Some Rock'n'Roll for your weekend! Call Me marked Oliver's return to the producer's chair with what was in essence a thought experiment: How would Blondie's Call Me have sounded if recorded in 1958? And with Emanuela singing? Of course, the answer to that question is: Pretty damn good. 😉

“No horses or subs were harmed in the making of this video.” Here’s some rock’n’roll for your weekend. This was the very first video that we did with our dear mate Chris from Bopflix Films. He found us this amazing Tudor country house in Surrey, and we thrashed out this banger together. F yeah.

This was fun. We convened at our local vintage bowling alley, Sparky wore the Tightest Trousers In the World, Duncan and Oliver totally faked the saxophone thing and hey presto - a classic Hillbilly Moon Explosion video!

The typical HME approach is to disregard style constraints and provide a song with what it calls for musically. BUT every once in a while we opt for a conceptual approach. E.g. here, where we answer the question, "What would Prince Buster sound like if he'd had a slap bass in the band?"
