Which color catches your eye more: a vibrant pink tree or a sunny yellow one? I'm feeling a bit uncertain today and would love your input!

**Speak Up, Brother** *Acrylic on paper (approximately A4 size)* Iâm not much of a portrait painter, but I think I captured his eyes well. I created this a few years ago after my brother underwent surgery for bilateral hematomas. Weâll never know how that happened.

I ordered just a few oil sticks in different colours to try out. I usually work with acrylics and sometimes use dry media like graphite and charcoal. I plan to use the oil sticks as final layers over my acrylics. Any tips from

yet? Time to change that! Speaking of new beginnings, l've got this piece that I started last year, and it's been quietly calling out to me from the studio. I think it's finally time to give it the attention it deserves!

Almost done! I prefer working on loose canvas because I like a hard substrate for scratching into the paint. Next move is to stretch it and I'll let it percolate around the studio a while.

A couple of great resource books added to my favorites. One is "Sight Lines," highlighting major women artists from New Zealand, including my former tutor Marilyn WebbâI've shared an unseen watercolor of hers in the second slide. Another favorite is the book on Joan Eardley's landscapes.

đ¨ this week the coal industry launched a dirty campaign against the independents through an âastroturfâ group: âaustralians for progressâ. using classic negative ad styling â complete with misinformation â billboards went up in monique ryanâs & allegra spenderâs electorates.

If you havenât heard the term âastroturfâ before, itâs political slang for faking a âgrassrootsâ movement or organisation. I am no teal but supremely fuck this. I hope Monique and Allegra crush the disinformation barons like ants. Solidarity.

After saying goodbye to my beloved Mazzyover two years ago, I finally decided fostering would be a good fit. We contacted the Animal Welfare League and ended up caring for two adorable Chihuahua mixes: Corabelle (the blonde floof) and Clementine (the Tassie Devil)!

Back in October last year I did this challenge, self-enforced 30 mini paintings in 30 days. The toughest part was doing reels, they take so damn long to edit and Iâm not even that fussy. Anyway the majority of them sold and I think I gifted some.
