Just eeked out finishing the purples of the mountains amongst another busier day. The darkest shade was a tad more plum than I would’ve liked, but DMC colors have notoriously neglected purple shades, of all things. Just happy to have the contrast still blend well! #StardewValley #crossstitch

Even though foxes are related to dogs, they have vertical pupils like a cat, which allows them greater vision at night. However, their sense of smell does not rival that of dogs. True or not, here's a couple of detailed studies from a red fox's eye and nose! #foxes #drawing #art #SciArt #animalart

They're very good, I especially enjoy the leftmost piece. To me it seems like a daunting task to paint plein air, but I think it's also an effective method for improvement! Need to try it out come the spring.

I perhaps stayed up a tad past bedtime, but holy moly, this section of the ocean is done! So happy with the blues blending so well; I’m sure more minor color configurations will pop up, but having the main ones nailed down will make the rest go much smoother. So gratifying to accomplish 🥰

This is definitely an improvement from the first set of blues 🥰 The tone of the new in-between shade is much better (the blue just under the cliffside), matching the warmth of the rest of the piece instead of being a stark contrast. Almost caught back up, can’t wait to see it all together!
