Seeing a few Rothko paintings up close was an incredible experience.

NYC was fun. Went to MoMA. Rode the subway. Ate pizza and bagels. Got stuck in the blizzard. It was interesting. Didn't care for the skunky pot smell throughout the city.

Wish the Nintendo store in New York had a traveling exhibit of things from the Nintendo Museum in Japan.

Bluepoint getting shut down by Sony is another head scratching decision in the topsy-turvy world of video games. I can't recommend anyone to work in that industry.

This. My number one reason for cooling off in the video game hobby is cost. Can't keep up with all the $60-70 games released every month. I have to wait for a sale at a later date.

I teach my kids to be nice and look for ways to help those around them. I tell them it doesn't matter where others are from or their station in life. Just be be nice. Help those in need.

Getting towards the end of Ocarina of Time... Finally. Would've loved this game if I wasn't a PlayStation kid in the 90s. Can't be bothered to chase around for all the spiders and heart containers. This feels like a game for 11 year olds with lots of time.

When painting I have to be really careful not to reach for a sip of my brush water... Yuck

What is a perfect video game?

I'm finalizing my new year resolutions and it's become a mix of positive change things (some more philosophical) and a checklist of things I plan to finish and accomplish. There's always spill over from the previous year. I'm ok with that.

Weird being back at work after the holiday break. I'm like the only one at the office right now. So empty. So quiet.

I hope that all these random GameStop closures inspire some intrepid entrepreneurs to fill the space with small business game stores.

I will say that I'm enjoying my romp through Ocarina of Time. It feels pretty good considering the controls and camera they had at that time. There are some quirks, but they're general Nintendo quirks from the time.

Ugh that water temple in Ocarina of Time. I'm having a hard time with the little water tunnels and remembering what tier I'm on. Raise the water. Lower the water. Ugh.

I had a dream that felt so real that mid-dream I started to doubt it and tried to pinch myself. Even then I knew it would end but I kept it going somehow. When I woke up I felt satisfied even though it was over and I would never return to it again.

Digging through the Dolmenwood books over the past few days. Excited to start a campaign there with my kids. Just want to keep it weird and whimsical. With... Some mystery. Goofball Scooby-Doo stuff.

Watched Willow again last night. Still great after all these years. May have convinced my 15 year old that it was an ok movie.

Still need to play Metaphor and Expedition 33. I want to pick up Metroid Prime 4 even though reviews are mixed. There's also a bunch of older PS4 games that I need to pick up... Also need to get my streaming situation figured out.

Games I played this past year: Dragon Quest III HD2D remake, most of the Zeldas, Metroid Prime (not 4), Super Mario World, a lot of Solomon's Key, Babel, Megaman 3, and a random assortment of Famicom games. Some Wizardry and other CRPGs too. Pretty good year. Didn't play many new games.

Went back to the dead bird app for the first time in many years. It's like an old neighborhood where you don't recognize anyone. We've all moved on...

The Cookie's Bustle story is bonkers. This is dumb that some mysterious person keeps trying to keep all mentions of this game hidden with copyright strikes. Let the Streisand Effect take hold.
