You know. There are many worlds I've looked at in games, anime, etc. that I've loved and found beautiful, but perilously few I've sincerely wished to live in. Touhou's Gensokyo is the exception. There's just something so beautiful about the life it's been given by its fans.

Surprisingly fond of Stoat/Revolt as a Discord alternative. I know lots of people have been having trouble with registration and were worried about some AI use, but the former will clear up in time and the latter has evidently been cleared out of the publicly-available code base as much as possible

This isn't to say I don't love people. I do. It's just also easy for me to see why some people keep to themselves indefinitely. I want to be worth expending the energy for. I want to be otherworldly, and gentle, and as easy to talk to as a visual novel character; or, I want to be worth the bother.

It's hard sometimes to feel satisfied speaking with real people in a world with so many other options. With so many games to play, shows to watch, and stories to read, why bother with people that have their own needs and desires? I wonder, if I could become a character too, would I be loved?
