Looking forward to this workshop focused on neurodivergent writers and managing the challenges that come from being ND in a field in which all the work sits on YOU.

No one say anything but I totally accidentally bought a piece of art. I mean, the artist just took the cash from my hand and shoved an amazing piece of art at me that perfectly encapsulates my writing aesthetic. Total accident. Could have happened to anyone.

Long day today with a partially sleepless night because my mom was exposed to covid. We all had covid last summer and it put her in the hospital twice. She's had a horrifying cough since then because she's immune compromised. SHE. HAD. JUST. CLEARED. THE. COUGH.

Quick estimate of how long it would take me to get from a track room to bathroom to Willy's. WALKED UP EXACTLY WHEN I SAID. I mastered time.

Uuugh, my mom who already has lung damage was exposed to covid. This is the reason I mask at DragonCon. I really wish my brother's family would take (any) precautions to protect her.

For the record, I'm going to hand my mom half of what I bought at con and let her give it to me for Christmas and birthday. Totally makes it okay that I bought 3 more prints in the art show.

Today wound up being a very long DragonCon day, so tomorrow may be more chill than planned.

The it vs he pronoun battle on Muderbot panels is very real. I promise everyone is trying!

I didn't talk about any of my other panels today because after running from the Westin to the Marriott my brain spilled out.

First panel of DragonCon! The Ark and Stargate: Universe. Let me tell you, if SGU annoyed you as a SG-fan, try out The Ark. Similar trapped on a space-ship premise but more near-future eco-science.

I have no regrets about spending my time making Ninja Turtles bead bracelets. (To no one's surprise, I also have Stargate, Buffy, and Marvel ones.)

My brain has not wanted to function much the last 2 days. I've done what I could but also decided that reading a lot and staying quiet has value, too.
