Nice day yesterday, including attending the preview of 'Bridge The Gap', a Bath Open Studios exhibition at 44AD in Abbey Green, Bath. Lovely to see my gentle watercolour of Prior Park garden there among lots of other beautiful work. The exhibition is on until Sunday.

Yesterday was dry and a little hazier. In the evening I took a painting to 44AD in Abbey Green, where it will be in the Bath Open Studios Exhibition, Bridging the Gap, for a week. On the walk back, I enjoyed a bit of snappage, especially magnolias in the dark. Have a good day! xx

Yesterday after the first dog walk of the day, I went for a run(!), which was mostly running for a couple of miles (to Bathampton), then mostly walking back and spending ages looking for otters, unsuccessfully, and generally mooching about. Have a good day! xx

Yesterday was another sunny spring day - I had the almost perfect combo of mentoring another writer, going climbing, doing some of my own writing, walking through the fields with B and starting a drawing. This photo was from our sunset ramble. Happy sigh. Have a good day! xx

I seem to have activated dog drawing mode in my noggin, so did a charcoal study of a rather lovely greyhound yesterday. I love the shapes that hounds make.

Frosty this morning. Yesterday there was a lot of Weather with a capital W. By the early evening we were left with dramatic clouds over the city skyline. Have a good day! xx

Spent ten minutes wrestling the dogs into their coats. Went outside. Heavy rain turned to hail. Out for approx 40 seconds. Back inside. Will try again later. Yesterday was stormy and the best photo I could manage was this host of daffodils, their flowers bobbing in the wind. Have a good day! xx

Another clear morning. Yesterday was intermittently bright and breezy and I hung around by Pulteney Bridge until I caught a sunny interval and the swan was in the right place for a nice pic! Have a good day! xx

Chilly and a bit breezy first thing after overnight rain. Yesterday it was sunny outside, so I grabbed Bella and off we went, enjoying spring flowers and the last clump of snowdrops. The weather turned when we were at the apex of our walk but, luckily, the rain held off. Have a good day! xx

Foggy this morning. I had a very non-standard day yesterday. Started by going for a run - the first for many years. Then I walked up through Prior Park to hitch a lift with painting pals and go to an exhibition and painting demo in Corsham (Jo Slade, she's very good). Have a good day. xx

The magnolias are out in this corner of the world, earlier than usual. The one by the canal is a beauty. I always think of the Stanley Spencer's magnolias when I see it - could anyone top that painting? I doubt it. Anyway, here are some photos from one of yesterday's walks. Have a good day! xx

It's my little rescue dog's birthday around this time of year. The actual date is anyone's guess, but this year she is eight! Still scared of most other dogs, but also the best snuggler in the world, fond of her 'sister' and partial to being covered up with a blanket. Happy birthday, Summer!

The world news is so worrying, but here spring is definitely unfolding and it was a beautiful day yesterday. B and I did our normal Saturday walk to Prior Park and inspected Church Street on our way, where the blossom is in full bloom. Have a good day! xx

Yesterday, B and I joined a pal for a walk which included Conkwell, the woods, and a cuppa at Hartley Farm. Amazingly, it didn't rain, and a fun time was had by all, especially Bella - so muddy she needed wrapping up in a towel like a little burrito to be allowed back in the car. Have a good day! xx

Was it a rain free day yesterday??? I think it may have been. Bella and I had a nice cuppa with some pals, then wandered round the Abbey cemetery on Ralph Allen Drive which was BURSTING with spring flowers. Have a good day! xx

Another calm light morning. Yesterday, I walked to Alice Park to visit the newly planted sapling from the Sycamore Gap tree, one of 49 given by the National Trust to various places around the UK. I hope that it does well, a reminder of the power of nature to regenerate & overcome. Have a good day! x

Ventured into town yesterday and, for a while anyway, it wasn't raining. (That all changed later, of course.) The angles are a bit skew-whiff on this photo but I like the sky! Have a good day! xx

A lovely walk this morning. The dogs were chilled and sniffy, and we shambled round the cemetery. Nothing really noteworthy or amazing, except, of course, it all was because these small, peaceful, no-drama interludes are the best of all. Have a good day! xx
