I crave sun in winter, like a small tree in a forest, overhung with foliage. Ever reaching but competing with a desperate multitude. Light breaks in, tantalising, I can taste it, on my tongue before it disappears just as quickly as it came. I won't bask in it until spring rolls around once again.
