Writer at The Good Phight and MovieJawn. Hobbyist scorekeeper with terrible handwriting.
Alec Bohm has been a bit worse at home than on the road for the past three seasons. So I did some detective work as to why over at TGP.

Todayās Phillies game is starting 10 minutes late, so why not use them to read about Wheelerās new tweaks to his arsenal? Long story short: the Phillies ace has found a few ways to get even better⦠but one of his best pitches has gone backwards.

Maybe you call Phillies-Pirates a rivalry. Maybe you donāt. Either way, thereās some fun history between the two, which I looked at for TGP:

Iāve wanted to use this recap title since the news of the Luzardo trade broke, so Iām delighted that I got to do it today. I also indulged myself with a half-dozen other Genesis references in there, if you wanna do a scavenger huntā¦

I am an avowed enthusiast of the Baseball Zen segments on MLB.TV, but I do have to question whether a clip of bees swarming around a dugout really qualifies as zen.

A pitcher coming off of a 0-win campaign getting the seasonās first start! A guy with a jetpack! The science of āslugologyā! I took a look at some of the stranger headlines from Phillies Opening Days past.

If youāve ever wanted to read a poem about the Rhys Hoskins bat slam game, I wrote one, and itās in here! Unlike Casey at the Bat, it has a happy ending for the good guys.

I asked the big questions about J.T. Realmuto. How should we think about his batting in 2024? How do we evaluate his defense? Why canāt I ever remember if itās āJ.T.ā or āJTā?

New week, old scorecard! This slightly trippy 1952 scorecard comes from the St. Louis Browns and features a grinning mascot soon to be known as Brownie. Sadly, Brownie had little to smile about: the Browns decamped for Baltimore just a few years later.
