I was only part of Ashenheart for about a year, and I saw a lot of red flags that I ignored because I trust Steve and Alex. When I found out this morning that they'd quit (and why) I knew immediately that I wasn't going to stick around. I hope to work with both of them again in the future.

Moving on to another 2026 release from an OG black metal band that I actually like.

I don't know why I'm doing this to myself, but I'm listening to the new Darkthrone. They've never made an album I liked, but I keep trying anyway. Maybe this one will be the one that finally makes me understand why so many people worship this band.

For the first time ever, serious discussions are happening about a Fathomless live show. We still have a lot of logistics to work out (chief among them is recruiting two more people to cover all the parts live. Josh is talented but even he can't play drums and rhythm guitar simultaneously live)
