Today, the LA City Council voted unanimously on the Epithet Motion which restricts the use of inflammatory language in Council and Committee meetings. The use of inflammatory language is quite frankly disruptive, harmful, and deters others from participating. (1/2)

We mourn the loss of Jewel Thais-Williams, a pioneering force in the Black LGBTQ+ community. In 1973, she opened Jewel’s Catch One, the first large-scale Black-owned LGBTQ nightclub in the United States. ‘The Catch’ became a cultural haven in Los Angeles for over 40 years. (1/3)
