this tour is everything ive ever wanted for bangtan. they look like they are having so much fun at each stop. they are living their lives and exploring on days off and you can see how that translates into the stage performances. they just seem so happy and light.

A good reminder to go tell the Canadian government to do something about those bright headlights blinding people who drive at night.

the fact that he advocated and pushed for the tour to be longer is a very jin thing to do.

jin's rolling stone interview is out. i just really love his way of thinking. he acknowledges when things may disappoint him or may not be ideal but he refuses to dwell on them. he is always willing to see another point of view but is also able to be pushy when necessary. i just admire him a lot.

i love namjoon so much. he's so unintentionally funny. he has so much gravitas but he's also just a silly goofy guy at the end of the day.

when i first heard arirang i knew this songs would play so well at a concert. and i love the way they brought them to life. this tour is only going to get better and better.

idk. bangtan just seems so at ease. they seem so happy to be back. they seem ready to forge a new path together. their energy was so electric. everything from production to stage design to setlist is so thoughtful. i cant wait to see them settle into this show. they are such special performers.

i saw a clip of noah wyle talking about how he noticed that some some viewers are making up their own storylines in their head and creating scenarios and then get disappointed when it doesnt play out on screen how they had imagined. and i feel like that applies to this new BTS 2.0 era. 1/2

i am listening to the weverse album version of arirang and i am only two songs in and i can hear so much more of the songs than i can on even AM.

im quite honestly really proud of bangtan and how they are able to put boundaries in place. what i saw in that run bts video was them excited about starting it up again and about what it could be while being clear about what they are capable of and interested in doing.

in that vein, i am really enjoying the little IG behind photo dumps the official account is doing. that is some top tier quality content right there.

i know we all miss the longer bangtan episodes or bangtan bombs but i wonder if this new format of behind content is maybe a little easier on the members than a full on episode and the constant filming. i dont know.

also the amount of promo and content they have released so far is wild. and that is just like official stuff. not including their own pics and videos and such.

namjoon is looking a little too good these days.

i need a live into the sun performance desperately. give me the vocal effect and everything. i feel it adds so much to the song. it makes it feel cozy and nostalgic somehow.

also my concert clown theory is that we get a full album run through. of course there will be other songs mixed in somehow but my running theory is that we get every song off arirang.

the more i listen to this album the more i agree swim was the right call for the title track. i saw the vision when the album first dropped but it just makes so much sense given everything they are trying to say.

the people who run kpop blogs and insist they are just offering objective critique of the industry and artists are perhaps the most sinister haters out there. they wrap up their meanness in a "i'm above the discourse, just reporting the facts" type thing and its so icky.

coming back here to say none of these scenes were remotely as suggested in that article. everything was written entirely without context or tone. everything they discussed was respectful and in the context of trying to work out the best way forward. some of you freaked out over literally nothing.

BTS Public Service Announcement: the Netflix live has been edited again and most of the building and crowd shots have been changed out in favour of full group shots. also the sound mix seems better.

i think some people just dont like the album for whatever reasons and cant deal with that personal disappointment and cant process it properly and it is coming out in some really weird ways.

as others have pointed put. you haven't even seen it yet. these are out of context excerpts. also, like honestly, chill the fuck out for real.

you are capable of nuanced thought. i implore you to make use of it.

im seeing stuff about excerpts from the doc and people being weird about it. bangtan has been hesitant to show us how messy the making of an album is for good reason. if you trust them, you will know this album contains their heart and soul. they have been so excited about it.

the way seokjin is all over this record. you’re listening to a song and you’re like oh i haven’t heard jin yet. and then you realize he’s actually been singing the whole time and has been doing all the backing vocals in addition to his main parts.
