With thanks to Sevenoaks Town Council and Sevenoaks Soroptimists for the meeting today to discuss how a town council works. Important for us here in Tunbridge Wells as we have the opportunity to have our say on whether we would like an elected parish or town council in the near future

Good evening from my mad

What a revelation yesterday's visit to The Guildhall Art Gallery was. Plan to visit again. Took the free guided tour with City of London guide David Woosnam and experienced the art through his eyes and the group's discussion.

The suffragettes are among those to be honoured with a heritage plaque in Tunbridge Wells. The plaque on their former headquarters in the Pantiles is one of several to be put up by the Civic Society supported by funding from Royal Tunbridge Wells Together.

Yesterday was my husband's birthday, we did what he would have wanted, positive action. We helped plant trees in Tunbridge Wells. A hard day but a good way to come together.

London never fails to disappoint in its juxtaposition of old & new. Georgian meets 20th Century in the 21st. My strange interests took me to a talk on Georgian cemeteries. It is easy to disconnect from reality when considering graves as aarchitectural monuments.

Every single school should have a library & a librarian, to help every single child find the books that will make them readers, and give them all the lifelong benefits of literacy. Libraries & librarians change children's lives FOREVER!

Had a good day today with Good Housekeeping and Country Living magazines. Lucy Worsley was delightful as ever. Last time we saw and heard her speak, there were 2 of us. Now there is 1. So quietly, I listened intensely, thought of our last experience in Tunbridge Wells.
