My husband got me these silly little trick-or-treating mice at the garden center. 🧡 I don't decorate that much for Halloween, but I am always here for little animal decor.

It's Bagheera's 15th birthday!🩷 I love him so much & am so thankful he's made it to 15. Earlier this summer it really seemed unlikely, but he's rallied and I'm just cherishing every day I get with this sweet, goofy, little guy. I'm so proud of him and think he's the cutest in all of time and space.

Apparently @kathrynlynn.tv took this picture of Bagheera when she first met him 14 years ago. He was such a scrawny goof of a kitten. 💖 He had a check-up today and is responding really well to the steroids considering everything going on inside him! Also I FINALLY tested negative today.

Gira is actually doing better than we expected a month ago. I don't want to overstate his condition (we don't know how long he has or if things will suddenly get worse), but he is responding really well to his new diet and medications and has gained back most of the weight he lost. My little buddy 🩷

Still subject to further testing, but we learned yesterday that our kitty likely has cancer and I have slept poorly the past week dealing with his illness and now this news. I'm in the kind of brain fog that makes me very productive one hour and unable to remember how to do basics at work the next.

Caught a chrysalis mid-formation this morning! Plus four more caterpillars getting ready to make theirs.

So yesterday morning, one of our chrysalises turned clear, which meant the butterfly was soon to emerge. When I got home from work, I saw that was indeed the case, but then found the butterfly hanging limply from a plant below with part of the chrysalis still on its head and was sure it was dead.

Who is this? A new friend????
