I still struggle with supporting my students with spaced repetition. Sure, I have starter questions, quizzes and other activities that draw on what we learned yesterday/last week/last month - but the real power of memory happens outside of my control in a place I struggle to access. #teaching

I often wonder about the interplay between the two levels of #art. There is the surface level - the fireworks of #language or the contrast of paint on canvas. Then there is the level of substance - the ideas and feelings that linger in our thoughts and dreams. 'Great' #literature demands both.

I broke my wrist two months ago. Breaks in three places, so had it in a cast. But last time I had it checked and created, I passed out. I have a funny reaction to stress where my body *lowers* my heart rate rather than raising it.
