Programming languages make the world go round.
My win condition is a cabin in the woods by a river, with no neighbors for miles, some goats, chickens, and a shitload of dogs. (And good internet, water and electricity).

I'm in the middle of going from GCP to Hetzner for a small app with a few thousand queries per second. Ill go from 360 to 34 euro/m. There are difficulties though. You need to properly get roles, users, the wal, plan for storage, backups, network and so on.

I'm a Dutch speaking person and I left a "kapot" debug message in the codebase. "Kapot" is "broken" in Dutch. Now the whole company is using "kapot" whenever they get a chance.

I spent a bit of time properly setting up a postgres cluster with replication. I admit I see the appeal of cloud services in this regard now. But at least I understand it all a bit better.
