Book 3 draft 2 hit 80k words today! 6 more chapters to revise/draft. Then 3 epilogues. I think I’m on track for my goal of 90k. Might even surpass it 🏃🏽‍♀️

Working on the finale for the final book in my trilogy. Trying to keep the fights engaging without being repetitive. Also, rethinking the intro chapters since I’m not sure if they’re paced fast enough. I don’t want readers to feel like it’s a slog to get to the ending #weeknightwriters

Wanted to get at least 3 chapters done this weekend but only revised 1. Still not 100% sure if it’s an improvement or not but it’s definitely changes ☠️ with that being said I’m at 70k words. Hoping to hit 90k for draft 2. The end is in sight, but the bulk of my notes pertain to this final stretch

Tekken 8 bob trailer was hilarious and I loved the Easter egg with Roger. The virtua fighter character reveal also looked fantastic. I’m really falling in love with Pai Chan every time I see her!

Had a really productive weekend and hoping to do the same again later this week with the upcoming holiday. I have 7 chapters left to revise, 2 more than I plan to write from scratch, and 3 epilogues to edit. The end is in sight with book 3 draft 2 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Started a book w a slow burn romance SUBPLOT and I’ve been hooked. I am never (knowingly) picking up fast burn again. They are always instant DNFs

I’m about about the halfway mark for book 3 draft 2. The latter half is where I think things need to be fleshed out but it so far in the revision process, I think I was cooking in the first half. Hoping to finish by end of July and take a breather before jumping into draft 3.

Now that I have an ereader, I’m adding it as a step in my revision process. Already downloaded both drafts of book 3 and FH. And I found a site that lets me make a kobo epub so the cover art populates properly 🙂 (When I have time, I’m going to upload them to itch too) Excited to take notes this way!

Trimming a lot of fat in fractured horizons today. Also giving one FMC clearer weaknesses. I’m also up to ch15 in book 3. I think ch 14 might need more meat, but gonna let it marinate and put it as a note for draft 3.

I have never played virtua fighter but each trailer they release for the upcoming game gets me so hype. I hope I find a character I like so u have a main. Honestly, the only thing keeping me playing tekken is bc I love Asuka/Jun so much. If they weren’t on the roster I would not play.

Rewatching aot. I remember when this manga chapter dropped. I was on my lunch break and the room legit started spinning and there was *no one* to talk to bc all my friends were anime onlies 😭

Officially reached the scene in fractured horizons where every single beta said it wasn’t working. Rewriting it in a diff POV and going to stretch things out so that it doesn’t resolve in a single chapter. Here’s hoping the revisions do what they need to do
