I've read many Simmons novels. Some (The Abominable; Song of Kali; that Sherlock Holmes one) are annoying piles of garbage. Drood was the opposite. A tease in terms of plot, yes. But engaging and menacing nevertheless. And a fab character study. Wish they were all like this one. #horror #sff #drood
