ive seen a lot of things about whatever the news website decided to do recently and i suppose that the sentiment can be fully summed up in "when you're just predicting the next token there's never going to be any intentionality behind it" well, owning largely to the fact that no decisions are made

the original ps1 release had most people saying "this isn't a jrpg, the story is confusing" because they were expecting something linear and epic like secret of mana or final fantasy but LoM is the perfect game for people who just appreciate world building, fun critters, and short story collections

an important reminder that "hacking" rarely involves typing real fast as green text scrolls by and mostly involves asking people for their login info in increasingly sophisticated ways human psychology is a lot easier to manipulate than code, be very careful with anyone asking for credentials

so the 12 feb famitsu includes a short (4 pages) feature on ff2 and ig i wasnt hallucinating the temple in the demo being a new area since they confirm there that they've reworked the areas in the game very hype to explore once it comes out :D (i will struggle with kanji some other day to read it)
