Whatever your views on immigration, the party brought into government with the connivance of Nigel Farage in 2019 to “control our borders” oversaw net inflows of nearly a million in a single year. If the Right is whining about foreigners, it’s as well they know who’s done what and when.

People are allowed to change their mind about who should run Labour but not about the biggest political mistake in decades (except Andy Burnham, of course, who seems to have changed his mind on Brexit quite a lot).

Disingenuous tripe and a reason Labour deserves its self-immolation. Crappy domestic choices, including austerity, which Labour backed, are why life wasn’t “fine” in 2015. If she wants to continue backing a project which deprives the Exchequer of £90bn a year for public goods, she should say so.
