He stiffened, feeling a dark blush spread across his cheeks. Still, he stood in front of them, sword pointed at her. “Why do you wanna know?” He asked suspiciously. “Octavo said they’ll be okay. That they just need rest. Not…bugs.” He huffed. “S-so I’m not telling you anything!”

Shadow winced at first, but watched in awe as his burn faded away. Cool! He stood there and stared as Octavo struggled for a bit before he snapped his fingers. Four was lifted up by a black bubble, transparent and shimmering. “Lead the way.” Shadow said, reaching up and holding onto Four’s hand

He immediately jumped in front of the others, defensive. He was practically puffing up like an angry cat. “Don’t touch them! Leave them alone!” He summoned a sword from a rift, eyes filled with nothing but determination

“Hey! I said to get away! Don’t touch them!” He swatted at the butterflies with annoyance, hissing loudly. First Blue, then Vio, followed by Red and Green. Shadow was last, as he wasn’t injured in the slightest. Though he looked very confused and very panicked.

“You don’t look too good.” Shadow’s worry was only growing. He didn’t know what to do to help, and it was driving him insane. “What do I do? What can I do? Tell me! What do I do to help? I need to help!” He floated in a giant circle around them, unable to sit still, filled with nervous energy

The group of four laid unconscious in the middle of the woods, with a large hole in each of their palms Shadow nervously hovered around them, floating in circles, unsure what to do to help. But when he saw the butterflies, he stood defensively in front of them. “Shoo! Go away!”

He looked up at Octavo and shook his head. “We’ve…been traveling on the road. We camp out. We haven’t been in a real house in ages.” He said, kneeling next to Vio and nervously squeezing his hand. “Why aren’t they waking up?” He was worried about them. Deeply worried, to the point of tearing up

Blink blink. He retreated deeper into the shade. Using a leaf to tie the sticks together into spear!

Shadow frowned. He placed the potion by Octavo, just in case he changed his mind, and began to maneuver the siblings. Swords in their hands, blade tips pressed together…in a flash, they were gone, and Four laid where they were, still unconscious. “What do I do with them?” Shadow asked helplessly. -

Shadow grumbled in annoyance, picking up another stick. Now he’s duel wielding!

“Are you okay?!” Shadow was at his side in an instant, holding a healing potion he stole from one of the Colors’ bags. Oh well. “Drink it. It’ll make you feel better.” He placed it in Octavo’s hand, only to yelp as his skin burned in contact to Octavo’s. He recoiled, holding his burned hand -

Batting at the stick with his stick now “Shoo-!”

The little shadeling poked at the circle with a stick, as if trying to shoo it away.

“Snap them out of- you’re bleeding?!” Shadow panicked. He darted around, trying to find a fairy, or a healing potion anywhere. The teens looked absolutely drained, their skins pale, eyes slowly getting dimmer and dimmer until the Blood Moon had lost its grip to the point that they were forced to -

Ducking into the nearest shade 💧

The kids tried their best to ignore it, covering their ears, the whole nine yards. But the blood moon’s affects were weakening on them, it was only a matter of time. Shadow suddenly appeared behind Octavo, but he didn’t seem affected, despite being a being of darkness. “What are you doing to them-

As she fell into the water, one last arrow hit her in the foot. The siblings crowded around the river bank, watching as it dragged her away. Their lowered their weapons, illuminated by the fire behind them. They watched, silent, stone-faced, as she was dragged away…

The group backed into a square like position, back to back. The lullaby seemed to be working, at least for a little bit, their eyes starting to droop. But like clockwork, they all raised their non dominant hand and impaled it on their sword, forcing themselves awake through pain. Red took out his-

Even still, the group didn’t say anything. In the darkness, the only thing that was noticeable besides their color-coded clothes, were their glowing red eyes. Suddenly, the one in red leapt out with a fire rod in hand. With a giggle, the teen flicked the wand upwards and a large wall of flames -

An arrow nearly hit the ocarina as Blue rushed forward, slashing at Octavo with her sword. They were moving quickly, eyes as red as the moon behind them. Red and Green got on the either side of him, staring. Waiting.

Vio stumbled back, but Green caught him before he could fall. After a few seconds, the group recovered and took chase. Vio used the trees, hopping from branch to branch while firing arrows at her from a distance. The remaining three, Red, Blue and Green, broke off. Red was on her left, Green-

Without warning, all four suddenly charged at Octavo. Blue, Green and Red had their swords, while Vio stayed in the back with a bow. They weren’t holding back. They were aiming to kill.

! The nut managed to blind all four of them, causing them to stumble back. Vio’s grip on his bow slipped and the arrow went into Saria’s hand, instead of the head where he was aiming. They recoiled, covering their faces with their hands, trying to regain their vision. She’ll have to be quick!

Another arrow was flung, this time hitting her in the shoulder. Ouch. It wasn’t just one or two…it was four! All wearing different colored outfits, standing over her with swords and bows down. The one in purple was the one to have hit her, already knocking another back, aimed straight at her.

Immediately, someone about her size rammed into her from the bushes, someone in all blue, wielding a sharp sword!

“…” Silence.

An arrow flew straight at her, hitting the tree mere inches from her head.

Staring.

“Please?” Red tugged on Majora’s arm with a giggle. “It’ll be fun! Come on!” The others were silent

The teens were now starting to act strange. Staring at the moon blankly, standing amongst the monsters

The monsters were ignoring the group, but they didn’t seem to mind.

Majora! Majora! Play with us! [The kids seemed oddly energetic]
