A year ago today we took in a wounded, scruffy, battered kitty. He immediately stole my heart. I named him Doctor Tiger Ninestein after my favorite #GerryAnderson character. Today he is healed up and spoiled rotten. Him joining our family was the highlight of 2024. Love you little Doc. Then and now.

I was fortunate to meet a survivor of the holocaust when I was in 6th grade. It changed me. Later in life I learned that the Dishon and Casey men in my family were Nazi killing sons of bitches, and it made me proud. Today I don’t know how to describe what I’m seeing in our country. It’s too much.

So by his own admission, Donnie doesn’t care about the economy. Revenge is more important. Hey, he said it. He’s real. He tells it like it is.

“Look for the helpers.” It isn’t easy to find them right now, but Fred Rogers always said that in time of worry or fear we should look for the helpers. They are out there, it isn’t always easy to see them, especially when things look so dark. But know they are out there.
