It was a relatively short trip but I had a great time at Furvana. Thx to con staff! Also, several folks I met mentioned they remembered me because of my fursuit book which tickled me. Glad I’ve had a positive (I trust) impact on some fellow furs :) Squeak!

With dinner tonight I made pear and ginger bread pudding with a quick caramel sauce. This is my sneaky way to use up half a package of stale hamburger buns! :)

I baked some small loaves of bread to go with dinner tonight. A pretty wet dough — mixed, risen and folded in a bowl. Slow rise time. Not bad country loaf for kinda winging it.

I’ve recently adapted my toony fursuit foot pattern to make scaled-down paw slippers. Very happy with the result! Super comfy interior and proper furry vibe. :)

For dinner I made Thai salad egg wraps — basically like a salad roll but using thin egg instead of rice paper. Also: roasted curry potatoes, premade frozen shrimp rolls but with a homemade spicy orange sauce.

Tonight it’s a pork roast with herbs and paprika, roasted root veggies, samphire, and a Merlot-blackberry reduction. The sauce is simply those plus some sugar, reduced down — goes well with the pork.

I've finished the first complete draft of the novel I'm working on. 71K words--a bit thin but I already know some areas I want to expand. It's YA fantasy set in alternate-history 1900-1910. Doing a read through to note down needed edits. (Might also pick back up an older project as a break.)

For dessert tonight, I made bread pudding with pumpkin spice and lemon zest. An icing/drizzle of mascarpone with lemon. Bread pudding is such an easy and great recipe to use up stale bread!
