What matters is we can not trust neither those developing it nor those in the best positions to abuse it to even attempt to make it so. Any progress towards addressing ethic so far are only because we fought tooth and nail against AI

Day 29: Gaomon in the style of Jon Talbain. Larger sprites styles like #Darkstalkers are tricky in ways smaller styles aren't, even more detailed ones. Gaomon's also on the smaller side, so I'm not sure my scaling's correct. #Digimon #Artober #Pixelart

Day 28: Agnea in #Shantae 's Style. Specifically Pirate's Curse. Honestly swapping #OctopathTraveler and Shantae style has been one of the more fun swaps on both sides to do. Even if they take a bit longer to make. #Artober #Pixelart

Day 27: Solid and Liquid Snake in Mario and Luigi's style. I probably should have used a different one of Solid Snake's looks instead of the all black #MetalGear Solid look. Also I tried with liquids hair, I couldn't quite get a good reference in the angle I wanted. #Mario #Pixelart #Artober

I've figured out what I want to do for #artober. It's a combination of OC cosplays, and various character artstyle swaps. Problem is I need character suggestions for the cosplays and styles to swap into. If I have to pick them myself it's not as interesting to me.

Out of curiousity, given october is near, how do you all decide which art prompt(s) to use? I always have so much trouble deciding/finding them, and I'm once again without one with less than a week away until october starts

Recently saw some stuff about people using Gen AI for pixel art in a discord. There is no good reason to do that, and I'd like to introduce those that are considering GenAI for sprites to how I got my start. The humble Recolor Edit and the Franken-Edit. They can do everything you'd need GenAI to do.
